Yes Donkeymad I agree about the fitting but she said it was for a cob and my horse is very wide so I wasn't suggesting just getting one to fit the rider. It has to be comfortable for both.
How about a 17.5inch wide fitting saddle, mine is a 17.5 farrington in wide fitting and has a very comfy wide seat. I would suggest getting a second hand saddle fitter to bring you a big selection and fit one properly for you, it gives you peace of mind that it fits then and any change of shape...

I don't shred my own but I do use paper bedding from HossBed which comes out at £4.25 a bale with free delivery, also they use a small van and pack 70 bales inwhich is great for me as access is a no go for anything over 7.5tonne where we are.
Stupid man, hes obviously got a temper, imagine what he would do if he was at home, if he has the temper to do this in front of an audience. Would love to see him flogged then thrown in a river or similar to teach him a lesson!
Definitely the grass I woud say. My horse is fine to catch 99% of the time but if he has some fresh grass or a new field he will run off. I usually have to get a bucket of feed to tempt him (although wouldn't recommend this method if there are a few in together as you may cause a riot).I agree...
