What do you pay off the field in summer as apposed to during winter for the following

Large round haylage
Large round hay
Large roubd straw etc

Over the last month or 2 we have been finding it difficult to get decent haylage so are currently thinking about buying a large quantity straight of the field ready for next year (we currently buy 1 or 2 at a time) probably between 50-100 bales, I was just curious if anyone else does this...

Probably not helpful but we're in south wales and the council rent us 2 fields, 3 acres + 3.5 acres for just over 600 a year on the condition we fenced it and maintained fencing so I would definitely give your local council a try

15 acre field + stable = £30 per month
Haylage = £30 ish pm Only during winter
Straw = £30 only during winter
Other feed = £20 pm
about £50-£75 per year on wormers
not sure about vet/farrier
no lorry/trailer as i have use of a relatives when needed
Does anyone know any good suppliers for any of the above in the swansea and gower area? The supplier I currently use sometimes runs out and twice now I have had to buy small haylage at £8 a bale for my local pet food supplier. Delivery preferable but might be able to pick up if needs be.
