Have a friend who is 76 and still competing provincially on a 6yo ISH he bought last year.
Admitted height has been reduced but saw him yesterday go clear.
I have noticed at a couple of CSI's recently a few horses 'wearing' a wide and thin black elastic (surcingle) positioned under the girth and behind it - pretty much where your leg would be.
It looks very strange - any ideas?.
Absolutely miss_c I thought it was a win-win situation and as i said it started off really well. The young rider was great preparing young horses and jumping them up to a metre. She lacked good horses to go higher, combined with a lack of confidence hence I brought in an international level...
It is all about what you can offer the sponsor but some sponsors have different reasons for sponsoring.
Last year i under took sponsoring a younger rider and by sponsoring i mean i provided the horses, paid the rider, paid the trainer, paid all bills [livery & vet], provided all equipment...
It depends what you are after as many do not carry large stock ((you have to command it).
You say Machelen is on the northern outskirts of Brussels, Mechelen is about 12km north [between Brussels & Antwerp].
