Thanks, I've only washed the once. It's not sore or infected, I've sent photos to the vet and he's said no other action necessary however I feel it could be improved.

I highly recommend the Myler combination bit - my pony used to grab and run but this is kinder than a pelham but twice as effective - she never grabs now and never runs through the bit or throws her head about - I think its the combination of nose pressure and not being able to grab the bit...
