Hunting tack for the new era?

i was very fortunate to have a few away days last season and one of the most notable differences whilst out hunting was the change in "standard" tack? I always used to see people in hunting breastplates, now most people seem to opt for a racing breastplate and a running martingale? Has...

Saddle bag for close contact saddle

Hi All I hunt in a Devoucoux close contact saddle but as it has the single panel and the girth straps are low, (they come straight off the bottom of the flap directly), i cant get a standard saddle bag with girth straps to attach. Does anyone know if you can get a bespoke saddle bag made...

    Stretching hunting boots

Got the boots back from Busy Bees of Newmarket and they have done an amazing job, stretching the upper part of the boot up to an inch they now fit great would defiantly recommend their services as they picked up and delivered back to London in one week.

Burgundy Hunt Coat. to buy or to not buy?

Yes it is Pauda red (Burgundy as described in the advert) Why will it look odd? can't be any worse than some of the bridles / tack people put on there horses, I actually think it looks rather smart? Yes I have thought about going down the tweed route? I defiantly won't look like a...

Burgundy Hunt Coat. to buy or to not buy?

I am a traditionalist as well but I'm starting to think that hunting needs to move slightly with the times, do we really need to be ringing hunt sec's on a Friday night to see what colour hunt coat one should wear behind the master on a Saturday lawn meet? some of the black 'jackets' people wear...
