    Another fatal dog attack

But she asked the owner first and they said it was ok. I wouldn't let a child within 10 feet of any sort of bully type dog, but if they had them at home and they were fine with the kid then I can see why mum thought it would be ok.

There is more to it, but I'm not sure the child or parent are too blame. Quote from the mother:

    Why do people do this???

There would just be a lot less bred. The transition wouldn't be great, but it absolutely would not be terrible for horses if we stopped riding them. Theres been talk of improving welfare for as far back as I can remember. I'm not sure its any better, its just slightly different issues.

    Why do people do this???

I'm not sure if ethically we should be riding horses at all. I've cut right back on what I do with mine now. The day he says no, is the day we stop. And there are absolutely horses being ridden that would be significantly better off being a pet. The ones carrying 18 stone riders, the not quite...

horse hates being groomed/rugged, touched etc

And yet none of you are the vets/physios/saddle fitters etc that have seen this horse. This is a child posting their understanding of the situation and the horse has been diagnosed with about 10 different things by various posters, and has been roundly condemned by others. Axe, step away from...

It’s too small and too young

they grow roughly two hands from yearling to 3yr old. If he's 12hands nowand you geld quick its a reasonably good bet, with the proviso that youngsters never do what you want, if you need them to grow they don't, if you want small they grow like weeds!

    The Showjumper Secret…

Yes this. Don't use a rake it just causes lots of split hairs that stand up all over the place. But I'd cut them all off very short, then when it's done go back and point cut into it to take the blunt wedge look off a bit. Brad Mondo does videos on point cutting people's hair but it's exactly...

    The Showjumper Secret…

Its too thick. If you take out a lot of the thickness it wont be far off. You just need to point cut into the ends as the last step to take the blunt wedge effect end away. But you need to lose a bit first!

Indigo Irish Draughts - please read, a heads up.

I'm going to get legal advice on my will now. I have specified where my animals are to go and what happens with them but at no point has it ever been mentioned to me that this is optional and it was drawn up by solicitors! This thread has been eye-opening on several levels.

How long does the pus keep coming out?

Greyhounds get corns and one of the treatments is long-term and repeated applications of wet animalintex, often inside a boot. It can go on for weeks and weeks. No greyhound has ever died from fluid being drained from their leg.

How long does the pus keep coming out?

And a cushings test. If you've had him 16yrs I assume he's at least that old, and getting an abcess can be a warning sign. I wouldn't panic, but I would want it doing sooner rather than later.

    Another fatal dog attack

What could she carry that would keep them away though? Nothing stops these dogs once they start.

I just bought my first cob! Introduction + feed advice + photos!

Have a look at the ecoflow robot lawnmowers. Not cheap but good quality and very easy to use.

    Brecon Sale Saturday 22nd July

I'm not sure why people are surprised. The dealers take the risk by buying these cheap horses. They tidy them up, transport them home and then add a premium. Its been the same since horse auctions started!
