Hi all!
My poor boy is sweating standing in the field. He grows quite a course/thick coat all year. He's a native cob. He has shade in his field. The stables are just as warm as the field so no relief there.
He's minimally marked piebald with very very pink skin ?
So if I clip him he...
So about 6 weeks ago I went up the yard, took my boy for a lunge and as we came out of the lunge pen he started with this crazy uncontrollable headshaking, there was thunder and lightening above us so I put it down to that! When we got into the internal stables he was fine.. ..next day...
Right so I backed my youngster successfully september- November he was going really sweetly in walk and trot! I slipped at the yard and broke my wrist so I threw bobs out for 5 weeks. He had ad lib hay whilst turned out. I got the all clear and he started coming in at night again on AdLib hay...
Get a price off DMA transport. He is based near me but obviously his price includes fuel as he drives the lorry. He is also fantastic at loading difficult horses and trasporting them. He charged me £300 to go to london and back twice so he is really good price wise!
Ah! glad to yhear this had a happy ending! I had a horse for 5 years that i didn't gel with. 2 broken backs later i sold her and bought a 17 month old colt. He has grown into the most wonderful young horse and is now backed and he is simple and straight forward!
Well done and may you have many...
Mine was petrified of his hair falling off the first time LOL He ran backwards every time he saw it!!! He's much much happier in a stable, not tied and stands really well now :)
I can lengthen it later :)
The noseband is like marmite! Some love it some hate it. Me personally I love it on him anything smaller looks lost on his face! :)
