For a start the Fredericks only have one child - a daughter.
Secondly I have looked at the footage and whilst Clayton did not immediately go to the horse, he had obviously taken a pretty nasty fall himself, looks like he landed on his head and then did a somersault and could easily be...
Fantastic result, well done you must be thrilled!!
To come in only 2 seconds outside the time around that course is amazing. I know what you mean about the section through the woods, it rode horribly.
Well done, great result you must be thrilled. :)
Sorry for the rather cheesy grin in the SJ warm-up, didn't think it was necessary the best time to start introducing myself!
I must admit when I saw that first water I didn't think it was the most inviting water fence and I heard lots of...
I competed at Dauntsey yesterday and have to say that it certainly wasn't dangerous and am also very grateful that they carried on and held the competition.
The SJ warm-up wasn't great but I don't really see what they could do about, I jumped a few fences and at no point did I feel my horse...
I am there on Saturday in the PN as well :) Lovely afternoon times and not too much waiting around which will keep the OH happy! 3.12 dressage and then SJ and XC between 4 and 5.
Good luck everyone :D
Well done, great report and a great result!
I think that I went xc just after you, recognise you from the pic you posted. You finished just as I was warming up.
I also fell foul of the planks. Not that it really mattered in the end after our temper tantrum / nap attack before fence 3 in...
I am there on Sunday Section R.
Hoping for better luck than so far this season, would be nice to restrict our SJ penalties to less than our dressage score!!
Good luck to everyone competing :)
Hi, firstly congratulations it is a truly amazing experience :D
I went in 2010 so there may have been some changes since then but hopefully I can help a little bit.
1. We stayed and watched the XC of the International event and then travelled back after that. Would probably have stayed...
Fitzpatrick Referrals in Surrey may be worth considering - of super vets fame!
http://www.fitzpatrickreferrals.co.uk/
They specialise in orthopaedic problems and I know that OH's practice in Newbury refer to them regularly. Think they have a pretty good reputation with other vets which is...
Wow, what an amazing achievement.
I worked at Liphook several years ago and it really is a great place with an amazing team. I am sure you already have done but please let them know how well he is doing; it was always lovely to hear about horses that had gone home and were doing well - made...
Just wondered what peoples thoughts were on the current standard of veterinary cover at BE events?
Would be interested to hear about peoples experiences and if you have been happy/unhappy with the standard of care your horse received.
Thanks
Agree entirely with Halfstep, the physio should not be diagnosing anything and with regard to massaging his pastern - why have they told you to do this? What do they think is wrong that it requires massaging daily?
It sounds as if you need to get a decent equine vet to look at the horse first...
Not near there but walked the course last night. Going was pretty good then, lots of grass cover. There were a few fences that looked as if the takeoffs would start to cut up anyway even before this rain so they may end up pretty muddy.
I am a little concerned about the two waters, very...
