Just treated myself to a pair of F&F boots from redpost by mail order (the actual F&F website had sold out of the ones I wanted). They had them shipped out within an hour! And this was over the Xmas holiday period! Very impressed (with them and the boots!)
I ride in a smart treeless saddle which is v light and almost feels like a treed saddle to ride in
the other thought that crossed my mind is can you train horse to stand next to big mounting block to be saddled, so you aren’t having to lift saddle up so high, which may help in how much weight...
Recently had ashes back from my 17.1 ish type. Probably weigh about 10-12 kg but they arent in a casket. Personally I was fine handling them but they are definitely heavy enough to be awkward to carry by yourself if you struggle with lifting heavy items or have a distance to go
Seems to be! I had my renewal from seib this week and it’s jumped from 720/yr to 1096/yr :eek::eek: I have made a claim but I’ve never had such a hike before after claiming. And this is for a horse I’ve already undervalied at 4K instead of 10k as I’m only really interested in vets fees...
Oh god. That doesn’t bode well for the nerves. Not sure if I’ll be able to watch!! ????And not sure it’s really entirely fair on these horses to make them go twice! They aren’t used to it for starters and I the heat/humidity? Who thought that would be a good idea?!
Is it just the one sj round to decide both team and individual Titles? I seem to remember in sone past olympics that they had to jump off a second time for the individual medals?
I had a Harry Dabbs dressage. Beautiful saddle, really lovely soft leather and flocking and fitted horse well. However, I HATED IT! It was so wide through the twist that i just couldn’t ride properly in it. So make sure you are happy in one before you go ordering m2m - as always, it’s not just...
When I first tried my solutions on my already big moving dressage horse, my saddler was nearly crying in hysterics at me, as my horse was flinging me about all over the place moving so freely! I felt like a right beginner again!
2 years? Is that all? I’ve owned my car for 8 years and never cleaned the inside! And the outside just has number plates/lights cleaned occasionally...I mean, that’s what’s rains for right?!
Second this, couldn’t rate Julie highly enough. She’s got a truly holistic way of looking at the whole horse and how it moves and behaves, from feet, teeth, body in general, feed. She’ll delve into it all and then work out what that means in terms of saddle fit for you and the horse. Great at...
Some great suggestions here, thanks guys! Will take a look at ariats next time I’m in the tack shop to see how they’ve changed them, bit hard to tell online but I think I can fashion some tie in the interim
