2 year old biting and being very mouthy..

Thanks everyone for your advice. I do have good facilities for him and will be looking to get him some more toys. He isn't horrendous and is in no way dangerous. He's very happy I was only asking for advice for a few more ideas and I tried the tapping of the foot today it definitely helped. He's...

2 year old biting and being very mouthy..

Thanks everyone for your advice. Will definitely try the lemon thing. Gelding him is the very last resort. He is by no means nasty or dangerous. He's just playing and mouthing and once they're off they are off. His pedigree is very rare and have a que of people wanting to use him when he's...

2 year old biting and being very mouthy..

Thank you very much. Funnily enough ice just started doing a little bit of long reining and he seemed so much more content after. He fell asleep and didn't bite at all after. I might just try it once or twice a week. Maze in field definitely sounds interesting. He also loves playing with balls...

2 year old biting and being very mouthy..

I have a really smart 2 year old colt who is a serious stallion prospect. He has a great temperament other than being mouthy. Not just at humans but anything. He will literally put anything in his mouth including electric fencing! We have tried hitting him and it doesn't work. It just makes...

Week old foal with swollen knee??

Hi there, Have a week old foal with swollen knee, well its like fluid on the outside just under the knee cap. She was born with slightly contracted tendon on that leg. Vet says it could have damaged the lateral extensor tendon, but would need scanning to check. Hopefully he will come out...

    OCD Stifle Surgery?

My yearling has been on 3 months box rest for mild-moderate OCD in both stifles. Xrays today showed no improvement so vets have recommended an Arthroscopy in both stifles. Any stories would be welcome? He is a very special horse destined for great things, so I am hoping for the best...... he...

Picture - What are these small lumps?

My mare had something similar to this, but all over her body. They were protein lumps from a reaction to Alpha A, stopped feeding her it and it went completely, a few ended up turning in to cysts which were horrible but they are all gone now! She also got them when we changed to aubiose bedding.

Yearling with OCD in stifles. Opinions and your experiences?

Also I am very sorry to hear about your horse, must have been heartbreaking. I am having many sleepless nights over this, as this horse means the utter world to me.

Yearling with OCD in stifles. Opinions and your experiences?

Thanks for your response, although I feel my horses case is quite different from yours, as he is only 17 months old and my vet who specialises in young horses and breeding has said that it will be very very unlikely this will effect him later on in life. He has said 4 months of box rest, and...
