    Diy livery Prices In Scotland

My god, we are too cheap then! I charge £25 for grass livery but include covered tie up with power and light and unlimited hay when in, and use of indoor school and just building a working hunter course in our front field. DIY is £40 and includes hay but not bedding.

    Diy livery Prices In Scotland

Do people prefer a stable included but not bedding and hay and then pay separately ?

    Natural Barefoot yards

All great points. Our own horses are BF out of choice but we have a livery with 3 shod so we don't discrimminate. Our facilities are pretty good I think. Indoor school with lighting, track system which is a work in progress. Great hay and straw in site. Hacking is fab, don't have to touch a...

    Natural Barefoot yards

Do you think there is a market for a full on natural livery yard with barefoot horses, natural supplement herbs with a track system like paddock paradise and it being in Scotland. We are wanting to convert our yard but worry that our "obsession" is going to alienate ourselves from the market. As...

    Thunderbrook

We are the same area so if we decide to go ahead then at least it's on your doorstep.

    Thunderbrook

They don't really want to use "feed stores" as such it seems, rather to approach their client base who own yards. Where are you based?

    Thunderbrook

We have been approached by Thunderbrook to become their Scottish stockist. My question is how many people use their feed? We are a barefoot livery yard in the early stages of a track system like paddock paradise so the Thunderbrook ethos really suits our business. Just wonder how many others...

    Paddock Paradise

We have a valley field with a stream in the corner and is 30acres in a big rectangle with woods at the other end. We have worked out the feeding stations and tracks too. Our liveries have turn out all year already because of how our fields are managed so hopefully it will be a service that just...

    Paddock Paradise

We are canvassing opinion on paddock paradise systems. We have the perfect fields for it and have a similar system for our own horses. My question is, would anyone think a livery yard for natural grazing would be of interest or would we put people off?

Where do you look for livery?

Good idea. We have had some enquiries about hiring out our indoor school. This seems a good way to spread the word. Just too impatient I guess. We want to be full of lovely horses!

    Arena renovation

I second the size of the digger. I used a 5 ton and its just at the limit of what I needed. They are easy to use but you have to be careful about load weight and where you are sitting on the ground. Depends how brave you feel and if you are on level ground. I don't recommend using them on a...

    Arena renovation

We had the same problem. If it's muddy then don't add anything on top no matter how tempting it may be. It just makes it worse. The key is to get back to a firm level surface so it is worth checking gumtree and local builders who will hire out a mini digger and driver to come and scrape your...

Where do you look for livery?

We did speak to the feed stores but yes, a flyer might not be a bad idea
