My horse has seedy toe and i'm new to it. My farrier suggested bleach and water. Is that a good thing to put on it? if not what would anyone suggest? (the infection has been cut away also)

My Irish draught mare has come up with a rather solid lump in the indent of her hock. It isn't effecting her work but i want to carry on showing her (if the lump goes that is). Anyone got any suggestions?
