I've recently taken on a 4 year old cob on part loan, despite being a novice who's ridden for 2 years, everyone seems to think it's a bad move because of his age. So far I've hacked him,schooled him and he us as good as gold with wonderful brakes. Listens to me and has a lovely temperament...
Well they said I would pay £25.00 per week, he would be mine to move if I wish, and he would work 4 hours per week. The 25 includes all care and feed and stable. The only thing that niggles is that they would choose him, but until they'd schooled him ready to work, I wouldn't be able to try...

I am 40 years young, and been riding a couple of years. I have built up a good relationship with my riding instructor and school, and they have offered to source me a pony/horse on the proviso its kept on working livery at the school...
