Anyone elses horses lost the majority of their winter coat but still have a scraggly slightly long coat? He malted but now seems to be hanging onto some and stopped. His coat just seems to be looking a bit dull at the moment!
Anyone have any recommendations for fairly good priced boots? I have really small calves and I find many boots too tall for my foot size (6). Anyone know of any boots that come in smaller calves and shorter than 45 height??
I wanted to improve my horses coat and maintain a healthy diet. And as I heard it was high in omega 6 which is what most horses lack. But Im by no means an expert on it so wasnt sure if there was any point in it or whether it has shown results
I recently saw an article on how linseed oil is really good for a horse as its high in omega 6. I was wondering other peoples views and what benefits they knew off and if so how much do u give ?
I have come to decision after hearing all these bad things about this feed that I’m just gonna stick with the chaff and supplements for him. He’s not lazy because he’s in pain. He has always been like this just as he’s getting older I think he finds it harder. Thanks for...
Sorry. I think my message came across abruptly. I do appreciate your responses to my post and I do apologise for the way it sounded. I’m just not sure what to feed him.
I don’t remember saying he was doing hard work. We do a bit of everything hacking, jumping and flatwork. My post is to ask for advice and if your all feel the feed is wrong then tell me alternatives but I don’t understand your point about my horses work load?
He’s worked 5 times a week and rather fit. I chose this option because his old owner used to use this on him and he went really well and looked fab! I know that’s not a good reason but she convinced me this was a good idea. I am interested to know why all is against this feed? I...
So I recently brought the Dodson and Durrell pasture mix to add a bit of energy to my pony as hes a bit lazy. Should I be feeding it twice a day or once? Ive always fed him once a day so reluctant to feed twice. Hes out 24/7. Opinions please x
He just seems to lack the energy. Just something to sprite him up a bit. I just thought as his old owner used to use it and I heard it added a fair amount of energy and gave horses the sparkle they lacked. I ride 4 times a week doing a bit of everything so anything he puts on will be worked off.
Ive been feeding happy hood chaff, and just some supplements with a bit of veteran vitality. His old owner used to use pasture mix with him and he seemed to go ready well with her.
I have a very orange chestnut that I want a new colour for. I already have thousands of baby blue saddlepads and boots. What Lemieux saddle pad would suit him best? Im tempted by the lime green one?!
Hi all, after recently losing my Arab we are looking for a full loan. We recently found one that is perfect for us however he is 21 years old. My question is would u consider going for an older horse or would u look for a younger one ?
