livery yard near Patchetts (that doesn't break the bank!?)

Harts farm is the big white gates where the gps takes you to in housing area, no signs outside but if you peer through gates will see stables. Its good for the price, major issues like all places and you need a very thick skin like many bitchy yards, but some people there are lovely and theres...

The most useless horsy item you have ever bought?

The H2Go bag comments really made me chuckle! I bought one when I moved my horses at home with me, to make trekking to their stables easier, but all it does is fall flop out of the barrow into the trug... knock that over too and pour water all over the stable floor :D What else hmm.... A...

    Simple systems

Ive fed SS for over a year now for my poor doer anglo arab youngster and my good doer welsh x mare. I have to admit though I cant keep the weight on them in the depth of winter with the products alone. For regular winter feeding the younger one got 1 scoop of greengold alfalfa chaff, 1kg lucie...

    DIY livery yard hay prices

Thanks for your replies everyone, I'm glad it wasnt just me who thought it was a bit much for normal hay! Still paying it, no choice really, i darent try the haylage as it looks, smells and acts like silage, every other bale is pure mould and its scouring half the yard, so i wont be going near...

    DIY livery yard hay prices

Thanks for your reply. Thats a good idea about selling by the kg, i know exactly how many i would need as i weigh my nets every day, it would be much more accurate. Youre right about the slices varying, once we got floor chaff instead of slices in the bag, all the sweepings from the hay barn...

    DIY livery yard hay prices

Hi all, was really curious to find out what price people have to pay for their hay/haylage if they're at a yard where the only option is buying Y/O supply. I recently moved yards, old yard was a bargain, £40 a big bale of hay medium quality which for herts is.. nice. But this place.. i found out...

Without being rude how do you tell someone their managment does not suit the horse ?

Gotta say sorry my advice would definetly be along the "keep your nose out" lines. Perhaps the second horse will settle with time... and at the end of the day, if the symptoms are not making it ill, then it comes down to personal choice about how to keep ones animal. If someone told me they...

    competition xbox games??

I dont think theres been a decent one since equestriad 2001 really. All the currents dont seem to be designed for xbox framework and are about as interesting to the older user as playing barbies pink horsy games... I tried "my horse and me 2" which was pretty crap.. but that was on the pc. Maybe...
