Can an old capped hock be cured? The capped hock on my welsh D mare has been there for 1-2 years.
She had the capped hock when I bought her, it was due to the owner not putting enough bedding down for her.
It isnt causing her any problems.
Any info I would be really greatful :)
My TB 18yr old mare has always loved her feed but the past few nights she has only ate some... a bit worried because its out of character but she eats fine on mornings.
Shes still having her haylege but not as much as normal... should I be worried or just monitor it?

box of frogs... she didnt have a rug on that day... i think shes getting some sort of small electric shocks because she picks her feet up and holds them up like shes dancing around then stops when she moves to the back of...
i put my new horse into her new stable for the winter 3 days ago and ever since then shes been acting wierd about rushing in to go to the back... then i realised when she lifted her feet up when she ever touched the concreate and she felt static too... why is she getting shocks and feeling...
are we talking just 2 mugs of lo - cal... and loads of hay- surely this wont make her fill out a little bit more will it? doesnt seem much? or do i feel it ontop of her hi-fi orig? xx

I have no idea where to send her to be schooled... i want to get the best out of her- a good education.

New horse dont know what to feed- She is in light work, starting to be ridden and just lunging... would like her to fill out a bit more and it isnt making much difference now because shes just on safe and sound and hi fi orig.
yea i am going to try her with some sort of goodies on the bit tonight like toothpaste or something... another problem is shes scared to open her mouth to let the bit in or out! i have to tickle her for ages to even just sneak it in or out... i understand she wont open it because she doesnt like...
yeah i have been really calm and patient and have showed her the bridle and let her smell it and took my time with her but she really doesnt like it, i think shes scared of it because she isnt used to it.
i think the best thing im going to have to do is put the bridle on everyday to get her...
