Hi there!
I am currently trying to book a holiday for a group of us with our horses, preferably in the new forest. I have come across a fair few that look fab (i'm waiting to hear back from Hackney Park, which looks particularly nice), but wanted to hear any experiences you have had (good or...
We saw the fall today. Unfortunately it was one of those tragic things, it was over probably one of the most straightforward fences on the course, but it was a heavy fall.
Such a sad, sad thing to happen. Sleep tight Jo and all my thoughts are with her family, friends and fellow RoR team...
That's ok, pop away! :)
My saddler actually said he would normally say the same thing, but he also said it wouldn't do any harm under there either for jumping/competing, the saddle was still a good fit. Enigma has regular back checks and is 100% fine and dandy so i'm happy with the way i use...
I think it's easy to make a judgement on the owner's reaction to the incident from behind our tv screens. Yes, her screaming would not of helped the situation, but come on, be fair, how would you react if you saw your own horse flip over the side of the bridge like that?? If it was Enigma I...
No, it's just Enigma's saddle, it was fitted for her. The sheep pad was new in the above pic, so just had it on to try it. I normally ride without and just a numnah underneath, but do have this pad for competing, my saddler checked the fit of the saddle with it aswell and said it was fine. :)...
I agree, aswell as putting Scotland more in the loop, it would be nice to hear more in there from the amateur rider's point of view. Success stories, or just a little "day in the life" paragraph or "amateur of the month" quarter of a page. If they want to encourage new members, then it may be...
I adore my K2 Jump saddle, it's so comfortable and really helps to keep a nice secure position over fences.
I have heard good and bad about them and the way they are made, but as others have said, that can be said for most brands. :)
Love the stuff for my mare, she looks fab and for a fussy eater, stuffs it down. :)
She's always been spooky anyway, so didn't notice a slight bit of difference when i started feeding it, she's been on it for over a year now.
I suppose this goes to show they are all different, like people...
With all the different hills/valleys/mountains etc round this county (and surrounding nearby counties), you can be lucky or not with the weather... we just expect to get it bad around here up this big them there big hill!! :D I've given up now, what will be will be, nought i can do about it! ;)
Ohhh Mum!!!! :( :( :D
Actuallly, on a few different weather forecasts they do say it starts at 3am (which originally they were saying 6am) and goes on until 12midday-ish and it will settle and we'll have 2-3inches. Suppose it depends if you're on high or low ground etc...
It's your call really. I never do as my horses are shod and their feet snowball. I also worry about the ground underneath and them doing an injury, so IMO, for the sake of a few weeks off, it's not worth it.
But that's just my thoughts on it. :)
