Anywhere around 70-200 or 70-300 will give you a good start. Most pros will use the faster more expensive lenses like the 70-200 f/2.8 IS but you can get the 70-200 f/4 which is fine for outdoor use, its only in bad light that the f/2.8 is really needed. The EF-S that you have been reccomended...
