[So this morning I went to see a warm blood and before I even entered the stable I could tell she wasn't the stamp of horse I wanted. I went thru the rigmarole of saying she's lovely. Watching her tacked up and ridden and rode her for a short time - out of politeness to be honest...
I would...
I'm devastated this week I lost my 9.5yr old choc lab from pancreatitis, he was at the vets for 3 days on drips/pain relief etc but faded fast and showed no improvement on the vets advice he was PTS. It seemed to come on after he gorged on an old cooked turkey carcass discarded by the farmer...
Thanks jrp204 we advised to tie her up short etc when we explained how we had managed her and the older lady is experienced and about 50 but she now says she can't have a pony like this around children..
Just after opinions really. Sold a 14.2hh great to ride schoolmistress which we had owned for 3.5yrs to an experienced home to share with a 12 yr old girl & her instructor an experienced 50 plus lady at the end of Sept. Only negative with the pony is that it can be mareish and nip on the...

If it is true shame BM couldn't have been more upfront about it but to be honest those horses probably wouldn't have been worth anything near those value without his input..
My friends daughters pony was nicknamed Derek by some tourists who were staying in their holiday cottage next to the pony's field - they even mentioned it in the visitors book - there is only one problem the newly named Derek is a SHE!! aka Misty :D
If they are really wet I sweat scrape the worse off then just rub over with a towel, tack up & go..
Probably not in the BHS manual but hey its worked okay for last 40 yrs lol
Hi Dice 2012 as Sportsmans B reply, didn't advertise the shivers but did inform people when enquiring and some good advice from spotty_pony about diet, that is exactly what the vet hospital told me to do with the coloured horse.
Thanks everyone, we had the RSPCA inspection today everything was fine and we can pick him up on Friday :) The only name OH and I can agree on is Rocky, so that is what we will call him..
I bought a coloured ISH with shivers, unfortunately I lost him due to another problem but my friend bought a horse irish horse last year passed a tough vet, 5 stage vetting with a comment on the report about being a shiverer. He is excelling at everything unaffiliated, hunting too although can...
