    Horsebox/lorry sat nav

None of them are perfect, as we discovered to our cost the first time we went out blindly trusting that as it knew our dimensions we would be fine. They won't send you down roads that have weight restrictions, or under bridges that are too low, but if the road has no restriction they might just...

    I have a confession

Temporary suspension, but you'll be back I hope - once the kids are grown up and you have time for yourself, you'll come back to it....and I look forward to it. In the meantime, enjoy all the sushi you can eat :-)

    problem horse schooling livery

Not Bristol, but Banbury so maybe too far away for you, but in the absence of other replies I thought I would chip in - Bert Bolton takes horses in for boot camp. If you'd like his details please message me, or you can find him via his facebook page Bert Bolton Eventing. Best of luck.

    Best balencers

I've fed chop, beet and balancer for years - variations on that theme according to the horses needs. Gain Feeds Opticare is amazing, all the horses we've had on it look amazing.

The HHO LGV (HGV) Info clinic

Thanks very much for answering - I did a bit more googling and it sounds as if it's not the actual weight but a calculated weight adding both individual axle weights together. Apparently the actual weight should be quite a bit less, so we're off to the local weighbridge to check it out...

The HHO LGV (HGV) Info clinic

Hi font of all lorry wisdom, I read above that you have to go to a weighbridge to get accurate weight, but I see on my MOT that it shows a "measured weight" of my 7.5T box - would this therefore be the weight of the lorry, or is it some other weird measurement of the loading on the axles or...

    Small Competition horses . . .

My son's 3* event horse is just about 15.3 and he's never made a fence feel big apparently. He only really started concentrating when he went advanced - he's quite extraordinary. Son is 6'3 but somehow manages not to look massive on him. I'd add a photo but I've got no idea how to do it...

Once more unto the breach, dear friends....

I think the only time I ever post on here is when I read your reports - I'm now literally crying with laughter, you're a genius, please do more writing, we love it. Not to mention being amazing at all the other stuff, like getting round so well in the first place of course!

A bag of nerves at Aston

Must remember not to read your reports at my desk - so hard to laugh silently whilst pretending to work! You should write a book, I'd buy itl

Eventing - Back Once Again to the Renegade Corner

I never post in this forum, just lurk sometimes, but I HAVE to reply to this as I was snorting while I read it :-) You are completely brilliant, I always look for your reports, but with this one, you've surpassed yourself! Loved it, hope you'll be out again soon as I can't wait to read the next...

FAO people that compete at vale view

Vale View is great. The cheesy chips are sublime! 2 indoor arenas, one can be spooky as has windows to cafe down one side & mirrors too. Surfaces all good although bottom outdoor warm up can be wet. Excellent facilities with water complex & steps for arena eventing. They use all the jump for joy...

Whose ex-racers are full-on showjumpers? Pictures, please!

I never (or almost never) post on here, but I can't help myself..... our ex racer has been jumping double clear at intermediate/2* eventing and has so far not taken any of it seriously, he has an extraordinary amount of jump in him. Hoping that there's plenty more there too, although the...

    Good equestrian blogs?

There are several blogs on Eventing World Wide http://www.eventingworldwide.com/ - one of which is mine admittedly, but they're all interesting (I think) partly as they're so diverse. Chester is hilarious & well worth a read!!
