Starzaan - LOVE the sound of your yard.
I don't think I've ever been told of any yard rules where I am other than lock the tack room if you're the only one about. (But equally I'm on a full service dressage yard and skip out/poo pick the school/put stuff away).
Completely agree - I'm driving an hour each way as there are so few places where you can be reasonably confident that the horses will all be capable of working reasonably correctly.
I’ve been heading up to Talland about once a month to have 2-3 lessons in a day. I’ve got a young sports horse who frankly is way more horse than I’ve ever even sat on and I’m an unashamed wimp.
Talland has been brilliant in letting me maintain my riding fitness, find my confidence and have a...
The comments on your next test are bound to be better :-)
Don't let it put you off
(As somebody who's had multiple last places, but still wants to improve)
Apparently theres only so many times they can be altered. I had my old equipe widened but was told that as its previous owner had previously had it narrowed it wouldnt be possible to change again. (Sold the saddle and moved to a wow - glad I did as then bought a 4 year old who seems to like...
My current package includes up to 2 lessons &/or 4 schooling session &/or 4 hacks on a yard with professionals riding and excellant facilities so the yards are there. It usually works out as 1 day off/2 lessons/1schooling session with his pro-rider/2-3 days hacking.
Competant staff working a...
I'm currently on full livery as I have a horse who's far too good for me! I don't have the talent or confidence for a highly bred, 17hh, 4 year old. But he makes me happy, he's the most gorgous creature and I adore him. He's also getting a much much better start in life on a professional yard...
Western Counties did Isaacs vetting - no complaints (even though had to wait 24 hours for a second opinion on the xrays) . Think it was best part of 1k but we xray'd everything bar the tail and took most of the day.
Don't ask me! Was looking for an established safe amaturs horse around the 15hh mark - bought a 17 hh fabulously breed dressage 4 yo!
Prices at the moment are completely crazy - I can either be horseless for the next year or so, or I could spend the money playing owner while something truely...
Has anybody done the Centre 10 Performance Psychology on-line course? Charlie Unwin seems to have a good reputation but would intreasted in peoples reviews
Nope
Lost my lovely ISH a few weeks ago and been thoughly grumpy.
Will never be able to replace Ryan and can't afford exactly what I want at the current prices
Decided I'd rather spend the summer playing owner while a youngster is brought on for me than have a horseless 6 months saving up for...
