Great thanks for all your answers!! I think I will definitely ask someone else to do it or at least wear gloves.
And if I happen to get a so-called 'official' answer from the vet I will let you know what it is!
Thanks for your help guys.
Hi all,
This might seem like a ridiculous question but I need to inject pencillin into a horse (in fact I have done one dose already), but it suddenly occured to me afterwards that maybe I shoudln't have done as I have an allergy to it myself?
Of course I didn't actually get any of it on...
This is a very interesting topic, and as a vegetarian who rides I can certainly relate to it. I have had long topics of conversation about the use of leather and there are certainly points of view from both sides.
I would definitely prefer that leather not be used, but I can appreciate that...
Turning out horses at night can apparently help as they naturally move/locate more at night than during the day. (This is due to their instinctual need to be aware of predators.)
Fantastic, thanks so much for all your help. And also for the situation at customs; that hadn't crossed my mind and I am very grateful for your input! (I will certainly bear that in mind as I know how strict they can be).
That's interesting about replacing body protectors. I wonder if it...
I'm not an expert on the subject but I always heard that digging it out is the most efficient way to get rid of it as well as trying to prevent it coming back as the roots can be dug up and destroyed.
Would probably be best to get some local opinions as well.
Best of luck at your new yard!
Hi all,
I'm moving temporarily to Australia soon where of course I hope to do riding :). My question is, does anybody know if I could potentially damage the protection of my body protector if I tried to take it with me in my suitcase? i.e. would it getting knocked about etc in my luggage...
