    Stolen trailers.

As mentioned previously, I am not associated in any way with them other than a customer for our plant machinery but the best tracker out there by far for a trailer is Cantrack. It’s a self sealed battery powered unit that you can hide underneath in all the mud and muck. I’ve got them on mine!

    Stolen trailers.

I would read the small print before you register anything with the company that you mentioned… if found there is normally a fee to pay.. historically that used to be up to 50% of the value of the item registered. I don’t know what the current arrangement is… my advice is just ensure it is...

Trailer Security - hitch lock or wheel lock

Battery power tools are a huge benefit to the thief nowadays.. this is why you have to do security in layers… if they peel one off then there is another layer to depend on… the last layer is a tracking device… I thoroughly thoroughly recommend the small battery Cantrack units… which are...

    Neem oil - fly repellent

Likewise….be very cautious… our thoroughbred reacted horrifically to it and he became hideously swollen …. It took us days of washing, shampooing, and rinsing to get the wheals to subside … and it was significantly diluted….

    Horsebox build.....our story!

Well update…it passed! however when I add up this years maintenance costs it’s quite depressing! Due to lockdown we did little travel in it last year…only managed 835miles between MOTs…although I did bring it forward by a couple of months to avoid the issues as described above… So breakdown...

    Horsebox build.....our story!

Thank you! We have tried to show the pluses and minus’s of owning an HGV Horsebox… They are great places to be but also cannot be neglected… In the spring I also spent time underneath the chassis again repainting some of the main structures and outleggers. I think this is now the third time...

    Horsebox build.....our story!

Year 5 update... well it’s been a bit of a bizarre year hasn’t it! With most of this last years events cancelled the mileage on the truck has been pretty minimal.. unfortunately keeping a truck on the road is still pretty expensive even if it’s not used! We still have to MOT it and still have...

    Horse box conversion advice

Have a look at ex traffic management vehicles...the Peugeot’s have an incredibly flat low floor and I think perfect for conversion....plus they never have had to carry huge loads! https://www.roadsafety.co.uk/products-services-3/3-5t-low-bodied-traffic-management-vehicles

Anyone have towing experience with an older Range Rover?

Excellent news.... there are a number of tow bar manufacturers who do kits for the RR. Land Rover themselves do an excellent kit but Island 4x4 sell different versions... https://www.island-4x4.co.uk/accessories-bars-towing-electrics-c-144_164_3118.html I also support your thoughts re...

Anyone have towing experience with an older Range Rover?

It depends what height your tow ball is set at? Is it a fixed plate type tow bar or a swan neck type one. If it’s the former then you can buy plates that have a variety of bolt holes so you can set the height of the tow ball to the required height... The air suspension is really only set up...

Must haves for trailer - security and fun!

Get it CESAR registered instead... this is the system invented by Police which is utilised by the Farming and Construction industries... it allows Police and anyone to check its provenance 24/7 and you can register your personal contact numbers against it... so Police checking it can actually...

    Wellies and silicone spray

The only thing you really need to do to look after them is rinse them after use....and do not leave them on the doorstep! The UV rays will destroy them and make them perish super quick! Keep them inside when not in use and out of direct sunlight!

    Tractor rally!!!

The point I am trying to make is that roads are for everybody...horse riders can be as much of a nuisance as tractors, as are cyclists, ramblers, boy racers, etc etc... it is a little ostentatious to suggest that every event or passerby has to notify the Op because she may be out riding...
