South Africa riding holiday -horizon or ants lodge?

That sounds like an ideal compromise. I'm sure you'll have amazing time at Horizon, the horses and people are brilliant! They like to say that you arrive as a guest and leave as a friend, and it does hold true. Make sure you guys try Polo cross and get your OH to pop few of the smaller logs as...

South Africa riding holiday -horizon or ants lodge?

If you haven't already booked, hope this helps a bit with your decision. Pakamisa does sound amazing, so it probably depends on how horsey you want your safari to be. They sound more like private lodge with some horse riding, at Horizon riding is priority and Ant's is somewhere in between as...

South Africa riding holiday -horizon or ants lodge?

Just a thought. Did you enquire about the whole stay at Ant's? I'm pretty sure their arrival / departure dates are flexible, so they might have some of the dates available. Horizon & Ant's are only about 30min drive away from each other, so it'd be easy enough to do both without missing any...

BHS exam system has finally changed

Having spend quite a few hours getting my head around the new system, here's my two pennies. Over all I think it clarifies the system a lot and makes it look more like a continuous process than something that ends up at S3 + PTT for most... - Anyone who has passed their PTT and successfully...

    Horsey holiday wanted!

If you are looking for UK holiday, I've heard a lot of good things about Wheal Buller (https://www.cornishridingholidays.co.uk/). You could also have a look on the BHS website (http://www.bhs.org.uk/enjoy-riding/find-a-place-to-ride). Most of the places there would be able to acomondate you...

    riding holiday Ireland?

Flowerhill is great. Oliver has fab selection of jumps & horses both with varying degrees of challenge. You don't need to be ready for Badminton to go, but it is a riding holiday with emphasis on riding as opposed to holiday, so you need to be riding fit with some jumping experience to get most...

    Older beginner riders, London

You would definitely not be the only lady in their prime at Trent Park. Weekends can be very busy, but they cater for huge variety of levels. If you can ride during the week it tends to be quieter. Once you have your riding legs back on (if you can make it during weekdays) they have regular...

Ireland B&B’s between Dublin and Galway HELP Please

Portumna is closer to Galway, but has quite a few nice B&B's. Oak lodge (oaklodgeportumna.ie) is run by lovely lady called Mary, and I've only heard many good things about it. Flowerhill is worth having a look at horse wise as well, although not sure if they have anything 17hh+ at the moment.

    Hunt Hirelings; Essex area +2hrs

And just got smaller! I have a feeling your friend is talking about my hireling. Piebald who jumped everything in style, with red faced rider who kept apologising for brake failures? The horse is pretty damn cool and is building quite a fan club for himself.

    Hunt Hirelings; Essex area +2hrs

I'd like to think the smart Cambs & Enfield Chace hirelings were ones we were on, got them from Elaine at Lovely View 01763 848 282. Have hired from her before and only good things to say. There was another lot out as well (I'm sure they were equally lovely), but failed to take their details...
