I am local showing my Lewitzer X ID on Sunday. He is 15.2hh relatively finely build and a very pretty coloured. I am plaiting him up, but not sure which bridle to put him in. I'm used to showing cobs!!
Can he wear one of those posh blingy browbands and a finer bridle like the sports...

I am based on a yard to myself with 8 acres and 5 stables.
We are in Tamworth, UK, and due to overhead pylons and the high speed rail planning, we cannot build a permanent school at the moment, well not that we can't, more don't want to spend thousands as we wouldn't get it back...

Horse is a good doer. Not over weight but has a good little grass belly, his ribs are still able to be felt.
He also lacks lots of muscle. Any of the other horse I have ever had lacking muscle I have fed a conditioning feed as well as suitable and correct work.

I have no school at my yard either. I also work 9-5. It was a case of boxing to local EC's in winter and hacking and lunging in field if dry enough weekends. We survived ok but are certainly making the most of the summer months and light nights!
Thank you very much be_positive! I haven't ever cantered on the lunge by choice, I mainly use it to encourage downwards stretch in the walk. He has done a few strides accidentally though when he's been excitable!!
I will continue with the canter out hacking, we have some nice verges and a kind...
