Thin soles can be quite a problem. Murlough would be ok though, as its just sand.
My horses are barefoot.
The Andalusian does all but the worst tracks fine. The cob wears boots for hacks.
If at all feely they get their boots put on.
Hi Fiona,
Great hacking and fittening here. Tullymore and Castlewellan forest parks and Murlough of course. We're spoilt for choice. I'm hoping we don't get pushed out by the mountain bikers. Hairy scary when they shoot past at full speed. From the pic looks like you enjoy eventing.
Mmmm, Yes I do need to consider the weight and balance once attached. 39 cm long and 8.5 cm across. I wouldn't want it bumping the horse's back. Love your dark horses alainax.
Thank you neddy man. The cylinders only last 1hr 15mins so I have let the Endurance go. Driving is something suggested that is a possibility. I am pretty set on finding a way to continue schooling, hacking and perhaps competing if rules allow.
Thanks for your suggestion SuperH. A custom saddlebag to fit my saddle or finding one I could adapt would probably be the best option as carrying even a small cylinder on my back would not be deemed safe. I do though have a back pack for working around the yard.
That would be brilliant but as I use 4lpm a pocket size container would not allow for much riding. However, for a dressage test it's an idea. Thanks for web address meesha. Will pursue that line.
Hi, yes very painful. good quality running trainers help a lot. I have same problem, it comes and goes. I use Saucony. Forget flat shoes. There are good sports shops that have trained staff, treadmills and equipment to analyze your personal walking and running bio-mechanics. Before you get out...
I've been riding for many years and can't imagine giving up. Very recently I have had to start using supplemental oxygen for all physical activity. Are there any oxygen using riders out there? Does anyone know where to get a suitably safe saddle bag/pannier to carry a small oxygen cylinder...
