Yes, it's just normal hog weed, my first pony went mad for the flower buds & the cob I ride now loves only the new leaves, I've never known any health issues with it.

I wear a bright pink one! but alas, no pockets, so I wear a really small shoulder bag slung across the body ;-)

If the sun's out I hang the bridle in the sun, it just takes the chill off it, or failing that I hold it in my hands a little while

My old cob did this to me once. Half way round our village I had to get on the path out of the way of the biggest lorry I'd ever seen! & he did an enormous poo right in the middle of the path! I was mortified. I went back after the ride with a bucket & gloves & picked it all up, hoping no-one...

PS, this is bugging me: There is something about the pics showing your stirrup leathers that looks odd to me - like they are twisted the wrong way? Probably just an optical illusion thingy and me being weird yeah,they look odd to me too....the elastic safety strap on the stirrup should face...

I think really you should be sending this new horse home & concentrating on the one you already have!
