Cushings by all means is not the end of a horse's ridden career. Although frustratingly the emd of an affiliated career (hopefully something which will change on the near future). People are extremely surprised when told my Welsh/TB pony suffers from Cushings. My main advice would be to keep...
The impact boots are one of the best things I've ever purchased! I love them, pony comes back with cool legs even after going XC. Velcro is very secure too. Highly recommend them.
First of all does anyone have any experience of Hellen Bell's Outdoor arena with XC jumps? Is there much of a selection of different styles and heights?
Also, does anyone have any ideas for simulating XC fences in an arena? For example arrowheads? Or corners?
Thanks in advance :D
Ah that sounds like it will suit my pony down to the ground! Have done many giraffe/tank style tests after he spotted horses going XC so would be nice to have half a chance of a decent test!
Eden was one I was definitely considering, thought I could skive school one Monday and go and school after one of the earlier ones in preperation for the last one. What is Hutton and Cumwhintons courses like? Heard Eden is nice :)
That's one of the ones I've been considering, mainly because it's less than 20 minutes away so if it all goes horribly wrong the drive home isn't a long one haha!
I am a member of the Morpeth Hunt Pony Club and have been since the start of 2013, it's not local to you but the set up will be similar.
I'm 16 and ride a 14.2hh but there is all sorts of different heights of ponies/horses. She won't be out of place on a 16.1hh!
The rallies are fab...
My aim of this year is to complete a BE80 on my pony. I am looking for opinions on where is a nice course to begin as it will be our first affiliated event.
Dressage & SJ isn't an issue it's more the XC I'm worried about as my pony can be difficult, he is fine around fairly big, solid fences...
For some reason the air jacket industry seems like an extremely dog eat dog one! Hmm haven't saw Helite saying bad things about Point 2 it's just someone elses observations on an older forum. I can't help but wonder why on BBC Breakfast this morning it was apparently a Helite air bag system...
So... I'm looking for an air jacket. Was considering a Point 2, but, I then heard that the air bags they originally used (manufactured by Helite) are much better than the ones Point 2 now use. Is this the case? I am now considering buying a Helite air jacket (now sold by Treehouse Sporting...
Ah thanks Iannerch that makes sense! Thats interesting to know cptrayes, thats another of my worries the last thing I want is for my pony to bolt or something because of the sound but havent heard anyone say their horse had been upset by it!
And also could anybody tell me if theres a service plan for HitAir? Cant seem to find anything on the website and thats something I do like about Point 2.
