Might have to stick more to a routine then, to me the yard is fine but we don't know wat goes on in there minds sometimes do we :) thank u for ur advice :)
I did it all before when i had him from 6months old, don't wanna push him if he don't feel safe, I was askin how long it normally takes for them to settle in new home?
It would take 2/3 days to let the mud dry so I could brush it out, can't get water on him cause he won't stand still cause it's like he's scared of being in the stable or tired up cause it must still all a bit new, roll on summer :)
Sometimes there is 2others in sables but I can never be sure on when they gonna be in sometimes days sometime nights but being in on his own never bothered him on old yard unless he has fell in love and don't wanna leave them lol
He has his rug on now but the mud is splashing up under his belly between his legs, and cause he not settling in stable or being tried up I can't wash to get mud of cause he's just getting more stressed, cause being a cob and thick winter coat it just holding on in big lumps
Only started work in the summer just after his 3rd birthday, thank you all for advice might just see how we go bringing him in for a hour for a munch, groom and walk round the yard then back out then do the same on the evening, hopefully he jut needs more time if not will have to work with him...
Yes he has a few new pals and ye he can see them it's seem like a mixture if excitement but panic in his eyes, I haven't done any on new yard, but schooling he really good, and haven't rode him out but walked him and he's good, wanted him to settle before I started work again but now on hold...
We have been on new yard for about a month, on old yard he only came in at night, at the min he is living out cause worried about him hurting him self, he is thick of mud everywhere, I bring him in on a evening to check him over and have a fuss but he just wants to get bak out, I get to the gate...
I have a 3 year old cob 14.2hh, have recently moved yards, and he had lost all his manners, I am wondering if he is not settled and if he will ever get settled? And how long dose it take for a horse to settle? On our new yard he his a bigger stable, more friends but he keeps trying to get out...
