    Protests today / police horses

If need be yes My point is as a society we shouldn’t be using sentient flight animals in this way anymore

    Protests today / police horses

Black lives matter. There were a number of lawless thugs who hijacked the protest and deserve to be held to account. None of which distracts from the fact that the use of horses for crowd control is archaic and abusive to the horses. None of them chose to be there. Some of them will be...

    Grass livery expectations

I would just say in the current climate I am no longer able to help with feeding. If they can’t manage to come up themselves then they need to either seek a more supportive retirement livery or pay for a freelance to come in. If they cannot afford it then they need to consider what’s best for...

    Golden Retrievers

Hi I am retiring this year and have long planned to get a beautiful golden retriever to love. I have had a variety of dogs all my life - mainly rescues- and have rehabilitated a number of difficult dogs. However with grandchildren now in the mix I feel I would like to get a goldie pup. Can...

So what would you pay for example for a rock solid gypsy coloured cob who was grat on roads in all traffic, very well schooled to elementary level dressage and competing successfully at BD regionals etc ?

Stressed re weather and making hay

I’ve had six acres cut last week and the contractors have just left it ....it is now starting to rot and I’m seeing my winter grazing going to pot . Furious! Contractor not answering his phone- he’s obviously got bigger fish to fry 🤬🤬🤬

Might be of interest if you have itchy cob with mallenders

Totally agree with the above by scats Mallenders are NOT caused by mites they are similar to psoriasis in humans. They also have them in areas that get sweaty and are heavily feathered. The best thing to do is clip the feathers and use steroid cream with an antibiotic like fucidin h or similar...

    X trail for towing

I used to tow one horse with one and it was fine - mine was a 2l diesel. The 505 is 900 kg and with 600 kg horse you have 500 kg to spare so should be ok. They’re quite economical too. I wouldn’t tow two in it unless an emergency though .
