    I think you are fine to feed outshine.. it has no more oil in it than a good dollop of linseed or cod liver oil, which most horses get anyway... A really good balancing supplement, which is not oil based is Equivite. It really made a difference, especially to the condition of the skin and coat.

    hay v's haylage - opinions?

    I would feed slightly less than hay. I use haylage nets, which have much smaller holes, so the haylege is eater much slower. This will keep your ponies occupied for longer, reduce waste as less will drop on the ground and will be a better, slower trickle for the digestive system.
