Well they replied. Apparently I have to keep paying until next May!
I absolutely would have signed up if I’d known I was being conned into a whole year, but I guess that’s how they work. I’ll never be using them again after this! Things are so tight for me at the moment that this makes a real...
I have been trying to cancel my subscription for the last 6 months. Things are hard financially, I never watch it.
Every month they take payment and I log in to cancel it.
I was signed up a few years ago, and I cancelled without having this issue.
I have now contacted them to see what the...
I know arthramid is expensive, and I know it may not work in all cases. But it really is amazing when it does work. If there were any way at all you could give it a go, then do it.
Thank you for such a kind post! Your horse sounds like he’s living a great life in spite of his own issues.
I absolutely get the importance of all those things. We don’t have 24/7 turn out over the winter, but come the end of April (weather depending!) They get out which I know will make the...
Thank you for your reply!
It’s just so difficult knowing that if anything changes again it could be that or it could be something else.
So glad to hear your horse is improving too. It’s fantastic stuff!
So last year I bought 17.3hh WB after losing my previous horse very unexpectedly. She is 8 and had previously not really done a great deal, or so we were led to believe.
From the get go there were a few issues that I hadn’t expected with regards to behaviour that I put down to settling in. This...
Arthramid is a game changer. It takes longer to work, but it honestly made such a huge difference over steroids with my horse. Hopefully it’ll last at least a year and it is fairly expensive, however you could probably end up spending that same amount on supplements and powders in the same time...
I am so sorry you’re in this position!
I was at a yard that had two like this (well one of them was ok but the other was evil) The pair of them are serial yard hoppers as they fall out/get booted regularly. Thankfully they didn’t last long at all.
They moved to a friend’s yard But they were at...
I have a very large ISH who does the most exuberant moves before going into canter on hacks. And it’s always a very nice controlled canter but the “transition” really puts the willies up me every time! I’ve had him a year now and we’ve really not had the easiest of starts together for various...
Mine just recently had arthramid after steroids and we are into week 4 now.
I can’t believe the difference already (coffin joints both fronts) I really hope they last a good while but if all goes well I’ll not hesitate to do them again.
The results are better for mine than they were with steroids.
I know a LOT of people who successfully compete at all disciplines with no facilities. Probably more eventers than anything else. But dressage schooling being done out on hacks is something that plenty of people seem to do.
Many years ago a field was all you had! There weren’t many places with...
Thanks for that. She was shod before. I’m always worried that small differences in one place may mean that they can then start feeling stuff elsewhere! Especially since this may be something that’s been grumbling away for a while and she’s changed her way of going.
My mare went for a full lameness work up at the vet this week. She has some arthritic changes to her coffin joints. She will be receiving some steroid injections to both of her feet to see if this will help with the discomfort and the vets seem to think that this will be the best place to start...
