Hope she didn't see said mare flat out on her side at 6am this morning in the field else she would have definatley feared the worst, lol. (Don't worry she usually sleeps like this, I often pull up to all three of them scattered about...
Aah so thats why I couldn't get my old boy through water when we went xc practicing, clearly horses would never see water in their natural habitat let alone actually cross it. Makes perfect sense now ;)
I suppose I can rest in the knowledge that my mare is well cared for and that if she did have a serious illness that I have a good 'team' of professionals around me (farrier, dentist and vet are all great) whose opinions I trust and who I'm sure would pick up on anything I might miss.
