    Got nothing negative to say about them, apart from the weight of lugging it about from tack room to car ;) lol, can't feel the weight of it once its on, have had a double barrel kick to the chest with it on and although was winded no broken bones!! fallen off into jumps with sticky youngsters...

    Baling twine is so strong nowadays it does not snap easilly, hence the need for equi-pings ;)

    I use the old tights trick for hair ties too, Also and old pair of tights can be used to keep a tail clean for travelling! Put one leg inside the other slip over the end of the tail up to the dock, then bandage over for a tail kept clean and tidy till you get to the showground!

    I mix wood shavings with wood pellets for my big extremely messy mare, highly absorbant, doesnt irritate my asthma, and she benefits from a nice deep bed, for our small native pony we use just wood pellets as he is disgusting on any other bedding to say the least.

    Im not sure about 'like sand' other than it does take on a kind of sandy colour when its soaked up lots of urine?

    Google Liverpool wood pellets, they seem the cheapest ive found so far, had a decent speedy delivery from them too

    Neem oil is amazing stuff, it has fantastic healing properties as well as repelling near enough all bugs inc flies! I use it on dogs, cats, horses, even the chickens! you can spray it on plants too to ward off slugs snails etc, I applied it to my sweet itch pony and he stopped scratching...

    Ive had the same reaction to vets prices only to find out it a combo one they do that treats worms too, the usual non prescription one is cheaper and you have to cover for worms with something like drontal. you have to deflea and worm at the same time, aparently they lick the fur which then...

    I cant give any insight, however I shall be watching this thread with interest ;) I too could do with a set of clippers, but really dont wish to fork out silly amounts lol :o
