Great. Decision now is carpet fibre from Valley, or fibre from roade fibre. Suspect they may be the same?! Why is everything to do with horses so expensive!!
Just talked to roade fibres, and it certainly sounds like a good solution. Have you seen any of them actually in place and working? Sorry to use you as their rep!! S
Hi. We have sharp sand which is riding very deep, and thinking of adding carpe fibre. Good to hear it worked for you, getting very mixed advice! Can I ask how much carpet fibre you added, and did you just leave it on top? Many thanks
Will talk to roade fibre. Can I ask how you chose which fibre to use? I have been talking to Valley Equestrian who do a carpet fibre in bales. Suspect they are much the same thing. It is an interesting idea to lay it as a blanket on top rather than try and mix it in. Presumably it will need...
Sounds simple, as long as we forget how much we have to lay! Have you been able to talk to anyone who has successfully, or unsuccessfully!, done this with coarse sand?

Thanks for this. Do you remember how much fibre you added? I am being recommended to put in some 6.5kg psm, ie almost twice what would go into fine sand. Thanks lots
Hi. It is a stabiliser. They have a web site. It is 55 plus vat for a 315 kg bale. It all looks good! My problem is I have a very coarse sand, and it not ideal!
Hi. Sorry to pick up on this old thread but just wondering how it worked out with the Valley fibres? Thinking of adding it to my school, which rides deep and has a coarse sand in it. Be really grateful for your comments, totally confused by all the different products and different amounts psm...
