Nah you're not rude at all. All the points you have made are helpful. He has, this week, started work. It is my intention to start long reining him (when I get the hang of the two lines!) and more lungeing more regularly. He is also on more feed now which will help. I think he has put on weight...
I know Baileys 17 top line conditioning mix works wonders. I know your lad looks bad compared to when he was with you but don't worry - you'll get him right.
Now that is a good idea. I will keep that in mind as something to try with his feed just incase. I really hope he doesn't do it again - he is such a silly boy
I brought my youngster in from his field today for a regular "get to know yard noises" session. I tied him up as usual and gave him some hay. The silly monkey hoovered it up too quickly and began to choke coughing up huge amounts of flem and gunk through his nose and mouth.

I did have a similar routine. Up at 6am to muck out, feed and turn out then off to work. I returned at 7.30pm (work in London so have to commute home) straight from work turned in, mucked out, fed and sometimes, if I had enough time and energy, I would ride for 20mins.
I have now succumbed to...
That is so true - I have had a knock. I can't bare the thought of selling but something has to change. I will let you know how the lesson goes (its my first one in a year which might also be the problem). Thank you so much for the post replies people!
Good idea, I will bring my friend with me so she can video it. The person teaching me tomorrow lives near the yard so I see him regularly. I just hope it works.
Ah you're always there for me Scotsmare, thanks. I am in catch 22 - I love her so much but cant ride her! I think most of it is in my head but that doesn't help matters!
