    Whippets.

I got my show line whippet 5.5 yrs ago and I’ll always have one, he’s incredibly easy. He’s too tall and too long despite being KC. Even though he’s show bred he’s a keen (but not very good) hunter. He was difficult to train as he’s not foody or toy oriented but has pretty much perfect recall...

    Irish Wolfhounds.

My parents had 2 (one after the other. The first died following a GDV op at about 2, the second was pts due to a bone tumour at 8. She’d also had GDV but pulled through. Both lived with small dogs, sheep, chickens and cats. I’d have another but haven’t the space. The second wasn’t great with...

Thanks for that Clodagh, might get some of that as well. https://countrymun.com/leather-stopper-pad-protectors.html I’ve also seen these which look quite good. My boy is constantly grazing them, he’ll also give himself carpet burn playing in the house. His other common place for cuts is his...

    Stopper pad protection

My whippet keeps grazing his stopper pads quite badly. They then take quite a while to heal. Has anyone used these? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Neoprene-Stopper-Carpal-Protectors-Medium/dp/B01HFJ2DVW?th=1

    Livery near haydock

I posted this on the regional board but didn't get any replies so thought I'd try here. I'm moving to haydock (working in leigh) in February so looking for part/full livery. Must have decent flood lit arena, daily turnout in winter and ok hacking. Any ideas? Or where to avoid as well. Thanks

    Cost of keeping a horse

Thanks for all the replys, I had in my head a ball park of 500 per month all in so looks like I should be easily covered. Just need to work out if I can afford that and still put a bit aside. Also need to price other livery yards and see if I can get it cheaper but still have good facilities.
