I went to a great place in South Africa a few years back - one of the few that has the big five (may be the same as the one Polos Mum was at?). Food and horses absolutely great as well as great rides and animal sightings. Would recommend South Africa! - I am saving to go back (slowly...)

Not to worry - well aware of our recent outbreaks, plan on wearing 'non horsey' clothes/ not going to more than one yard on the same day - definitely don't want to spread anything! Plus don't want to bring anything back to my current yard (thankfully currently strangles free...*touch wood*).

Mountskip sounds nice, might be a bit out of my budget to buy though! (I suppose I could just check it out for livery though) :D Thanks for all the responses, now I know a few I can get to researching and visiting! Its amazing how hard it is to find websites for livery yards.

I have had lessons from Fiona F and Linda Penman, and enjoyed both. I must say that so far from watching lessons from Listy Montgomery Davies, she is who I intend to use in the future. She has really helped my friends confidence no end...

I had heard there was a lot of moving horses in between fields there, sometimes not in with the same herd as before. My boy is a bit low in the pecking order, so this is a concern (he already comes in with nibble marks on him). It was a while ago I heard this and things have probably changed...
