Tell Me About "Future Trend", Offspring etc.

Thanks for getting back to me. I did wonder if anyone could tell me anything about him, as I'm pretty into breeding but I've never heard of him! Had a look at a few videos of him jumping on Youtube and he looks lovely. I'm just wondering if his offspring are marketable/sought after if I ever...

Tell Me About "Future Trend", Offspring etc.

I have been offered a nice looking colt foal by the Grand Prix showjumper "Future Trend". I can't seem to find much information about this Oldenburg stallion and there seem to be very few of his progeny about. I've had a look at his bloodlines and they don't appear to be very fashionable, his...

Catherston Dance In The Dark Stallion..

Anyone got any info on him? There doesn't seem to be much about him apart from his stud page. Have looked at his breeding and there's a lot of TB there although he is listed as a British Warmblood. Story is I've been offered a 2yo by him out of a Friesian mare very cheaply as owner didn't get...

Stable or turn out for foal?

Will add both youngsters will be new to the field, so hoping there won't be a "territorial" thing

Stable or turn out for foal?

Thanks. The fencing is mostly post and rail and some big, secure hedges with fencing underneath it but I'll be checking it all this weekend anyway!

Stable or turn out for foal?

Thanks. Foal has been out mostly and in for a few hours, she will only have one other companion in her field (a 2yo) with a number of others over the fences in neighbouring fields. we are picking her up about midday in a big, spacey box so that she has plenty of room.

Stable or turn out for foal?

I'm getting a new foal next week and had fully intended on turning her straight out with other one other youngster as I have always believed at keeping babies out as I think it's better for them in the long run. Her owner is now asking if I have a stable to put her in for the first few days as...

Would You Buy A Horse With This Foot?

Some very interesting responses. I have her on LWVTB until end of summer. They are asking £1500 which I think is unrealistic with the state of her foot.

Would You Buy A Horse With This Foot?

I have her on full loan with a view to buy if i want to. Do you think her owner would have luck selling her with this foot, if I chose not to buy her? And, with this in mind, what would an appropriate price be? (Dont wan't to turn this into a 'how much is she worth' type of thread but I could...

Would You Buy A Horse With This Foot?

No need to apologise :) I'm looking for honest opinions so thank you. A LOT of people have agreed with you on it, especially opinions i've asked for in person and I ventured to HHO to see if the opinions would differ. As far as we can tell she got it trapped/stuck in something when she was...

Would You Buy A Horse With This Foot?

It is purely cosmetic according to farrier and would cause no problems. The horse in question is a very smart Irish horse, brilliant jump (only starts to jump 'properly' when the jump is 1m30 at least). Has hunted, half brother is a 3* eventer. Currently working towards doing a ODE with her...

Been Offered A Youngster Who's 4 Hours Away & Never Loaded..

Well.. after a lot of fuss, and the owner telling me I was practically perfect for her, she's now turned around and said that she's decided to let a local woman take her off on loan. Disappointed to say the least. Guess it's back to the drawing board :(

Been Offered A Youngster Who's 4 Hours Away & Never Loaded..

Thankyou everyone for the brilliant advice. I would more than happily drive down to collect her and hire a lorry but unfortunately don't have a driving license (I'm working on it! Can't bare not having one for much longer) I would have considered asking one of my friends, who has transport, to...

Been Offered A Youngster Who's 4 Hours Away & Never Loaded..

What's the solution? I've been offered an absolutely beautiful 10 month old Irish Sport Horse type. I've been looking for a while for a youngster, perhaps on loan, to keep my other youngster company. She was a surprise, owners are novices and bought the mare as a first horse for them and their...
