    Very sore tongue!

Thanks guys. Apparently she had her teeth done in December but I'm going to get them checked again by my dentist. I wondered if she was biting it. Silly mare, it just looks so sore x

    Very sore tongue!

Ok here goes.... My new horse (came to me beginning of may) bites thin air when in the stable. Very snacky, clacking her teeth together. She doesn't bite people or the door. I noticed that her tongue is bright red on the lateral edges with missing skin. Looks almost skinned. I'm a vet nurse and...

Starting bitting and lunging, what to do?

I'm busy starting my little man who will be 3 in June. He's happiest in a jointed fulmer with the loose rings. I started lunging him off 2 reins to give him some stability. It's working great for me 😄 x

Would you breed from a mare

Erm my old mare had kissing spines and my vet advised that there would be no risk if she was bred from. I decided against breeding in the end as she had other conformational issues and it would be unresponsible breeding x

Am I too big to exercise a 12hh Pony?

I'm 5'7" and up until I was 22 I rode and competed at national level showing with my 12hh Dartmoor gelding. I was about 9 1/2 stone at the time and he managed great. was a good incentive to keep the weight off too lol x

    NAMES NAMES NAMES

Hi there, I've always found that names tend to spring into your head! I changed my old mares name from Alfreda to Chance (I was 16 and had decided that she was my chance to shine :) ) I also bred my first foal 3 years ago, and when he hit the floor he was sooooo gangly legged and dozy that I...

    Choosing the best stallion...

thankyou for replying!! I expect the whole "don't breed thing" to be honest, and I've advised other people that in the past, as well as myself! My mare has quite good conformation, although her hindquarters are not as strong as her forehand, but I'm hoping to build this up through correct...

    Choosing the best stallion...

Hi everyone 😊 I have a 9 year old thoroughbred mare. She is an ex racer. She's by Toubougg out of Celestial Welcome. At the minute I'm riding her and competing RC and low level dressage. She's a very sweet mare and I'm hoping to breed my next riding horse in a few years time. I wondered...
