Ludger Beerbaum's horse failed a test a the Athens Olympics as well.

A woman who owns a pet shop was on the radio and she has lost rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs and rats.

A fat labrador ran into the peloton yesterday and knocked one of the riders off his bike. Dog was OK, he got up and wandered off. Oh, the cyclist was unhurt as well.

He is in a feature in Horse and Rider - read it in Tescos today.

MHB, I'm on Telepest, sorry Virgin Media, as well and was really annoyed at losing Sky sports news. Maybe we should write/email them to have the horsy channel as compo?

It's great the Derby is on but BBC have decided the other Derby in Ireland which probably take 2 minutes to watch will not be shown live or recorded due to Hickstead coverage. Bah!

I don't get Sky news now as I am on Telepest (now Virgin Media) so now watch BBC24 and it is less frenetic reporting. The witness reports I heard on the radio don't completely match with the reporting on teletext (news junkie me!)

Have just seen the pictures on BBC24 obviously taken by mobile phone/digi camera from onlookers.The fireball looked terrifying. Heard a man on five live describe how he brought one of the men down and another said he saw a man pour petrol over the car and himself.

As a Shropshire resident, but not native, I say "Shrew". A poll in the Star last year was about 60% for "Shrew" so still don't know for sure.

I read the mags in the supermarket. Doesn't take long to read the bits of interest. Horse & Rider used to be better and I bought it regularly but that was more than a year ago.

I'm sure Cornishman has appeared in a film or maybe a TV thing jumping over a car. I read something about this ages ago - I think! Anyone know anything about it?

Rewarding recycling would be the best way and I'm looking forward to seeing how the council tries to wriggle out of paying money back. As for Belgium,see my post above on why they went down the pay up route!

Very good post. Our Council have provided easy to understand leaflets and it is not difficult to put the right bin out every week. The ones that do not do it obviously don't notice the two landfill sites in our area that are now above the horizon.

I have read about this in the paper (Guardian) and that was enough. I don't see why anyone has to see it for themselves for it to be true (and a faked video is not an impossibility) although I understand why people do not trust the press. Hopefully most people will not be viewing it as...
