I haven't been on the forum for ages but I sold my beloved Governor a few weeks ago and now have the task of clearing out the things which didn't go with him to his new home. His new owner is younger (and braver!) than me and plans to take him out at BSJA, though she's keen to try dressage now...

jemima - how did you find the ad? Was it this photo? If so what sort of photo would you suggest instead? L, will PM you in a sec. Not sure which horse you're talking about and i'm back for a bit so wondered if we could try and arrange a 'sit'.

I'm getting a little concerned that i've advertised G for too much. I've never had to sell a horse before and haven't looked to buy for almost 6 years so went on the advice of my instructor and comparison of similar horses on the market. I said I was in no rush to sell but it's getting...

Nothing. In London trying to find somewhere to live before uni starts back on the 28th. With a bit of luck i'll get a few phonecalls about Gov but he's not in the magazine for another week.

Yes. Mine is currently advertised online and will be in H&H next week. He's up for a lot more than I want/will accept for the right home. This is partially an attempt to discourage tyre kickers or the wrong 'type' but mainly because it is what I was advised to put him up for - personally...

Right, so after lengthy discussions with friends/family/instructor i've decided to sell Gov. I had considered loaning but to be honest it seems there will still be significant emotional and financial responsibility etc. I need a little help with the advert and figures. The market seems to vary...

Just a very quick report and probably boring on our little dressage outing last night. It was just a riding club competition (BD judge) but G hasn't been out for almost two years for various reasons and I knew it would be quieter than going straight out at BD again. Anyway i'm chuffed to bits...

QR Hope you feel better! G's having the day off...in fact two because i'm in London trying to find somewhere to live. Then just a lesson on Sunday. And i'll find another party to take him too soon as he was a superstar last night.

Where do I begin? I'm going to approach my riding club and see if I can find something by word of mouth. I've seen my timetable for uni next year and the expense just cannot be justified for the amount of time I will actually be around and it's not fair on Govley. He's 9 and should be starting...

Saturday: Schooling in prep for our first competition in over a year. P18 and N36, but I didn't realise it had rein-back, walk to canter, give and retake in canter etc. in it when I entered so i'm now in a flap. Sunday: more of the same. Wednesday: D day! eep!
