    heat lamps for chickens are easily available from most farm supply shops, very useful for when you have pups too. you can also use wall mounted fan heaters for diy drying as with all things electrical should be fitted up by knowledgeable electrical person i also recomend circuit breakers...

    why do you have to dry before riding? use old sadle cloth under sadle to keep sadle clean scatch the worst of mud off in girth area and get on with riding the horse is going to get sweaty but will soon deal with sweat marks with a good roll when it comes happily back to its nice muddy field...

    yes they are all different so read the wash/care lable inside if you can't find one you are usually safe enough to hand wash it using a soap based liquid or flakes

    don't go by the breed go by how you gel with horse when you meet, my chestnut welsh mare started off as a right 'B......!' but we did sort it out between us later, my late gelded bay welsh was a gentleman ! my highland X tb gelding is nicknamed the bulldozer.

    it's snowing here:) and settling, not melting at all on my unrugged lot so that just shows how good the insulation is on a native, don't groom them just let the grease build:D i do make sure i check regularly to see they are still fat as you can miss weight loss with teddy bear coats.

    Silly question.

    No you can have both!! This time of year both are looking for somewhere with shelter and food to take up winter residence. I take my Ferrets round on regular inspection of the farm building and that seems to keep things under control . a jack russel or similar terrior is also quite useful...
