I'm REALLY struggling with grazing. I've rotated and sectioned off my fields to no avail. My three are out 24/7. So they do graze a fair bit. But there is absolutely No grass left. I've seen more grass on a carpet !!! What tiny bit I have is brown and dried up nd looks like hay. Anyone else...

I am putting anti casting strips into the boy's shelter tomorrow. When my boy casted he didn't make any marks on the wall, so i have no idea at what height I should be putting these strips. I have bought enough to put two lines around but how do i measure at what height???

That's what upset me. He was motionless he just lay really still. It was very upsetting to see. That worries me a bit. You have to obviously tie it to get hold of him. I'm guessing once they stand they have a shake then are calmed down so you can take the lunge line off then !! Mine arnt shod...

Thanks Alec I think I freaked a bit because I walked to his shelter and his head was dangling out and he looked so scared. I did call him an idiot a few times after. He's so clumsy. If anything happens, it's always him. He's only 3 and he's discovering everything. Therefore gets himself into...

I invested in some anti cast strips. im getting them fitted in next couple pf days. I hope they help but the hard bit will be at what height !!

I was wondering about going over to straw to be honest. Mine is young and he did rush straight in on the deep new clean shavings and rolled then got himself stuck. I want to put something on the walls as i have plywood kickboards and they are pretty slippery. But i cant see where he was trying...

Thanks. I'm going to pack those banks bigger. I thought they were ok but obviously they weren't. He has been watching my other boy from the outside. I think he's a bit scared to go back in to the nasty place !! It was more traumatic for me as once he did get up he was looking for his dinner...

They are ok with fly fringes I used them before I bought the masks. But are they safe to leave on 24 hrs ? Although I think my helper would get that on him a lot easier than the mask. Although it doesn't keep the flies off their eyes as well as the mask.

He's better with me. But he's sort of ok with my helper. But I don't think she will get the mask on him. I really didn't wanna go a week without the mask as the flies are bad and he gets sore eyes. But I'm not taking a chance of leaving it on in case he hurts himself.

Can you keep fly masks on indefinitely? I'm going away for a week. One of my boys will NOT let anyone but me put his fly mask on ( takes me half an hour. He's very head shy). So was wondering if I could put it on before I go and leave it on 24/7 ? Or is it dangerous ? Thanks.

I am split grazing my fields. But they are so miserable in just about 3/4 acre. But it's the only way to go. I have to rest areas otherwise I'm gonna be struggling come autumn/winter. It's just weird to be fighting for grass growth in July !!!

Oh the Velcro. I ripped it off not thinking and almost scared my boy to death. So the second strip I fed treats and talked loud to him. That helped !!!
