Haha, did we buy this trailer from you then...? It is going under the knife to be reborn as a catering trailer. So no livestock in there, but would appreciate brakes that do work.
I've had a reply from Chris at Warwickshire Trailers who said it would be very costly/difficult to upgrade as the whole axles need changing,
However I had another reply from towingandtrailers.co.uk who claim that it is possible, I need to mount an anchor point and get a brake compensator...
Hi, In the process of restoring my old Rice trailer I feel the need to change the brakes from rod to cable whilst the axles are dropped and there is no floor in.
Does anyone know of any guides or can provide any information in doing this?
I've been using this forum a lot, lurking to get answers, during the restoration I have undertaken on an old Rice Beaufort Treble trailer.
We got the trailer cheap, and it was in a bad shape. It is being converted to a catering van.... so the floor had to be ripped up to start with as horse...
