Thanks
She seems to think that the sound 10yo they bought is still worth the 3.5k they paid for him - 6 years as a field ornament and 6mths 'stiff', now aged 16yo - hubby offered us him for 1.2k incl tack....
About right I reckon... no?
Just upset about the whole thing! He was our soul mate...
Well we had a text today at last - apparently he's had his work mob turned off over the festivities! He has offered my co owners hubby the opportunity to meet up with him tomorrow to exchange the cash and tack.... Should we be looking at a receipt or anything for this exchange?
Quite sad tbh -...
No as far as I know she doesn't work, and the horse actually belongs to him.
Yes we would have to see one or the other of them on the school run :(
We've been upfront, honest and paid on time..... feels like we've also been screwed over :(
Thanks WD - we really thought this was done and dusted, we'd been screwed over, we'd be paid back on the 21st Dec, we'd clear out our stuff end of.
It's now the 30th, not been paid back, and to add insult to injury they were using one of our water buckets in the field!!! But that's OK coz all...
We are so stuck - do we offer them £600 and say that we will have to move him asap if they accept, do we just transfer the remaining money and take him, passport or no, do we sit back and wait since we know they can't afford him, or do we truly walk away and look for another neddie.....
:(
So I'm logging in anon again to drag up this thread. The reason is that they promised to pay us back before Christmas, and they still haven't! We still have the tack as 'insurance'
Went up today to clear out all our stuff before the month end that we had paid for - OMG they still have 1/3 of a...
I agree and understand. I myself have bipolar and borderline personality disorder, as does she - i never get that aggressive tho!
I think she may live to regret her behavior, as over the few months we've been there she did every few weeks declare that she was selling her horse, then she'd...
We sought advice and did right by the big grey donkey much more than owners did - having a go at us because we'd arranged back man to come out - wtf?
Its him that will suffer as they will continue with lack of professional advive :(
So sad...
They are the sort that have more than enough cash
Was it us? Were we doing something wrong and couldn't see it? Are they justified in thinking we mistreated him?
Yes I agree - I think she felt threatened / offended by the changes, but every change we made was considered carefully, researched and discussed.
We are doing exactly that - accepting payment back, tried offering calm rational reasons for what we did, not making waves or arguing - she didnt...
No, it was a verbal agreement stupid I know :(
Don't have the energy to fight her, just as long as we get what we paid THEM back.
Well she has bipolar as do I, so she may regret it in time, but unless they sell to us outright it's not a situation I can cope with
The installments were their idea! We could have bought him outright at the time. We had a month loan trial beforehand and everyone was happy to proceed with the sale
They are paying back what we have paid towards his asking price, but not any of the upkeep we have spent over the last few months, our half of the unopened haylage bale, or the £50 quids worth of bedding we put down this morning :(
Don't have the energy to fight it though
