Thank you, I thought so to. I do worry about here as she hasn't had the best of care untill now from what I can gather so I just want to make sure she is happy now. Can't wait to get her out there and spoil her like she deserves.
Both transport companies have been reccomened...
I am having my mare transported from England to france 12-14 hour journey depending on traffic.
One company will pick her up on Sunday and stable for 2 nights before leaving for the ferry on Tuesday. And the other will collect on Tuesday and deliver straight from pick up.
She currently...

Im really glad something worked for your cob gingerthing and its now mite free and yes she's a real softy and gentle as a feather but obviously she's warned me numerous times with "please my stupid human listen to me my legs are sore so don't touch me there" as politely as possible and obviously...
Thanks lelly with her being fussy over her legs at the moment I think spot will be best (less stressful for her) if it works, I will see the vet Monday for our cat anyway and will discuss getting it for grace then and hopefully be able to take it down and apply to her on Monday eve. And then...
Lovely thanks im at the vets to pick up our dogs passport on Monday so ill speak to them then. Do they normally do it on prescription for horses? As I see most say they used a dog one on here? X
Oh really? I didnt realise and yard owner seemed to think pig oil and sulpher would work :/
Would you reccomened the spot on front line or the spray on?
Treated with Pig oil and sulphur and we trimmed the feathers off so we could see what was underneath and get right to base of the problem as her feathers are very very thick and dense x
I forgot to mention in my reply that I've been back to the yard this evening (because i felt terrible about making her grumpy over her feather trimming and wanted to give her a carrot and a cuddle) and she was nice as pie let me rub my hands over her hoofs (didn't try lifting them this eve as I...
Thanks for replies,
shes very gentle normaly and has an amazing temper yes I rode her and picked up her feet etc but due to very heavy feathers I couldn't see quite how long her hoofs were and they didn't look dry and flaky on the day I went over to try her either. Also I didn't mean that long...
Hi all I posted here a few days ago regarding very dry hoofs on a new cob pony I'd brought last week. My 1st brought horse and my heart lead the way (as always with me). Now I know and am well aware I took a risk buying a pony being a novice without a vetting but it's done now and I still...
Moving to france with my family and our new mare in 3 weeks time and have booked this transport company to bring over grace for us, I know it was recommended somewhere (most probably on a french horsey Facebook page) but can't help but worry about her on her travels
It would be lovely to hear...
