Harnesses. Which are the best fit and don't restrict shoulders?

I use Nonstop Dogware harnesses for sled work and normal use and they have always been great.

    Single dogs

This makes me feel a little better. I’ve been worried about my current single dog. I’ve had many over the years but no singles. He seems happy and is very neutral with other dogs and I’m around mostly but I still worry.

    What is your bargepole breed?

I’m not a terrier person and would never have a dog that looks like it’s been chasing parked cars (brachy breeds). Also Cane Corso, I’ve known three and they’ve all been so lovely but 2 died of heart problems including my mums who had a huge heart attack, both under 2 years old.

‘The Dogs mind’ by Bruce Fogle is very good.

    Border collie

Aww, so tempting. Just about to move up to Scotland but sadly will be starting to buy a house when I get there so would be a few months before I’d be ready to add another pup. Hope he finds a lovely home. Maybe will be able to think about it, if the situation arises that nothing has worked...

    Irresponsible Owners

Yeah, I’m getting more Yeah, I feel for you, it’s terrifying and not your fault. I keep having this recently. Dogs bounding across the park to us when mine is on lead. It always seems to be teeny tiny dogs too. My dog is friendly enough but on lead gets nervous when his space is invaded at...

    Maliniois

Yes it is and not actually acceptable to some Kennel Clubs. Don’t quote me but from what I remember it can happen in European lines and harks back to one Groenendaels shepherd in the 1970s slipping into the mix, this guy I really should sit down and do some more research, the above is just a...

    Maliniois

Now I’ve figured out image size lol. This is my dude. He goes back to his shepherd roots and is training to work sheep. His dad was a working police dog in Belgium and his mum was a retired guide dog. Versatile breed for sure!

    Maliniois

I have a Mali, he’s ace (total love bug that I trust with everyone), but I agree, wouldn’t recommend as a first dog. Simply because I am sure he would not do well in the type of home that I see too often where they’re treated as little fur babies and not the dogs they are. Tbf, that probably...

Hurrah!! They are leaving (sorry, bitofarant)

This thread makes me sad. Shame you're had to put up with bad liveries though and enjoy the freedom. The reason it makes me sad is I have never had any money, help or support. I can't afford a house or field or much of anything. I have to rent a small box flat where the owner doesn't want anyone...

Will Hunt backing & schooling: anyone used him? Feedback please?

He has worked with a few horses I know. He is a lovely guy. Please just ask him if you can and go for a visit to see for yourself. Am sure he'll be happy to accommodate as he has for me and friends.

    LOC Horse transport

Used them to go to and from France and they are lovely and looked after the horses amazingly. Last time was a bit tricky though as they were picking my mare up from friend that had her on loan to take her to France for my sister to compete and then have a foal and settling the pick up date was...
