i only ride in betex breeches made by rts,they are about £100 but found a website that does them for £85,they are full seat and last for years -do not shrink or get baggy when washed.

i agree it would seem that if your horse is vaccinated it may be more vunerable,i remember going to your horse live two years ago and they talked to me and my friends about it ,they were certian it would prevent your horse from getting the virus,it would seem they are wrong.

just read the strangles article with much interest 19 out of 24 horses who had been vaccinated still caught the infection ,so is it worth having ?

as above girth up slowly,tack up 10 mins before riding so back warms up,exercise rug in winter and get on using a leg up or mounting block all help

h has a kk snaffle with lozenge all the time apart from,in the winter i use a waterford snaffle to go galloping in as gets very fresh. a mild bit can still be servere if it is used in correcty or in the wrong hands.
