    Haylege not agreeing with horse

I had this exact problem until I decided to move yards 6 months ago. I now feed hay and from day one after moving his poo's turned from very loose to the extent we where having to wash his tail and legs every day, to normal. We did try lots of supplements but none of them made a noticeable...

    Bedding this winter . . .

I think if your horse lays down a lot like mine then pellets aren't the nicest bedding for over the winter, i had also heart that it can freeze come some of the colder nights. We now have unsoaked pellets on the bottom of the bed and a normal shavings bed on top, and deep litter, taking the...

    How was Chilham intro? Ground?

We went to Chilham for the intro the other week and was happy with the ground, my times were quite early on and even after a heavy downpour early on the ground was still very good. Also found the course to be very nice, as this was mine and the horses first run all year, we were a little...

Swelling on knee now travelled down tendon causing lameness.

There is no heat in the swelling and the cut was just below the knee joint, i think the swelling was probably because of him standing in, as we turned him out last night and the swelling around the tendon had gone down alot, and was nearly sound when we trotted him up so hopefully on the mend :)...

Swelling on knee now travelled down tendon causing lameness.

A couple of weeks ago my horse got a small cut on his fetlock which became swollen and caused slight lameness which cleared up after about a week, which meant we had to cancel a ODE and we just thought it was just unlucky timing. however brought my horse in on sunday to notice he had a small...

Sorry havent had any experience with prestige stud girths, but recently bought a comfort zone airflex stud girth which is also extremely light weight and seems very breathable also reasonably priced, very happy with it.
